First-time applicants for this financial aid program need to supply different documentation than applicants who are already receiving financial aid from this program.

But whether you are a new applicant or have already benefited from this program, please be sure to respect the deadlines (See ''Deadlines'') for submitting your documentation, so that your application cam be processed in time.

 

I/ REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR NEW STUDENTS

 

1- FUNDING REQUEST

 

Fill out the enclosed financial aid application form. Print in capital letters. Answer all the questions. Don't forget your address, postal code and all questions concerning your marital status, your education plan, your previous and current studies.

 

2- PROOF OF IDENTITY

 

Proof of your Indian status: Cree, Inuit, NWT, Barrière Lake, Kahnawake and the general list. Include a photocopy of your Indian status card. In the case of residents from NWT, include a copy of your birth certificate.

 

3- PROOF OF ADMISSION

 

Admission or registration to a post-secondary program.

 

4- TUITION FEES

 

Confirmation from the teaching establishment of the amount you will require for tuition fees and registration for the complete school year, as well as an estimate of the amount required to cover the cost of books and supplies.

 

5- COPY OF DIPLOMA

 

A copy of your last diploma. Include a copy of your Secondary V, if you apply for CEGEP, or copy of CEGEP diploma if you apply for Bachelor, etc.

 

NOTE : RESTRICTIONS

 

Some restrictions can vary from one community to another, or from one year to another. Please contact your counsellor to find out which restrictions apply to you, and which documents you will have to include with your funding application.  

 

 


 

II/ REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR STUDENTS RECEIVING FINANCIAL SUPPORT

REQUIRED DOCUMENT AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH SCHOOL YEAR

  • Application: the student must complete an application for financial support at the beginning of each school year

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AT THE BEGINNING OF SESSION

These documents are required at the beginning and the end of each session in which you are registered: Spring/Summer, Fall and Winter.

  • Marks statement from previous session

  • Registration for courses this session

  • Timetable or schedule for courses this session

  • Invoice for tuition fees for courses this session

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS AT THE END OF SESSION

  • Receipt for tuition fees for the session in question

In order to minimize unpleasant delays, please ensure to meet these requirements for every session in which you are registered.
